Establishing a European Cooperation Network of Contrastive Alphabetisation for Adults

Short description: 

Europe has become a "global continent", with different ethnicities, world views, religions, cultures and languages. Education is the central factor that must be disseminated in the coming years in order to make the opportunities for social participation and perspective accessible to all people. The project aims at one aspect of basic education, the literacy of adults in German with the first languages Turkish and Arabic. Through exchange between the participating partner organisations from Germany, Bulgaria and Austria, experiences, methods and ideas on contrastive literacy are collected, analysed and applied in their own framework in the future.
